Louisiana is my birthplace, where I was raised, and where I returned after 10 years of living near the mountains. There is something so deeply rooted in the culture and landscape of Louisiana that keeps us here as we raise our children. This land is mysterious, rare, and often unexplainable to others who are not from here. As we tend to our coastal farmland, survive the incredible heat, embrace the loving people around us, and frequent the waters, I am capturing moments that become my words when I am trying to describe the intangible connection that I have with this landscape.
